The addition of Safe Cess walkways was required by Network Rail to ensure the safety of their staff carrying out maintenance activities in the Kent Area. Cleshar were employed to construct Safe Cess Paths for the Ashford Delivery Unit and received praise for working quickly and efficiently to complete the contract on time and to a high standard.
The works involved the setting up of a safe system of works, de-vegetation, embankment and ground re-grading, installation of walkway frames and the placing and compaction of infill stone.
