On this continuing project Cleshar Contract Services Limited is involved at all stages from concept to delivery on a complete package of works undertaking track maintenance, track renewals and associated track civils works.
Working with Balfour Beatty, one of the country's largest track renewals organisations, Cleshar carries out track formation works, plain line and switches and crossings (S&C) renewal projects on Network Rail's infrastructure. Track renewals are undertaken during pre-organised possessions, which can range from overnight occupations of the lines to full weekend closures and even longer blockades. Through careful planning and efficient implementation, these possessions, which disrupt rail services, are kept to a minimum.
